Fenway Night at Elm Street AASL teams playing on Monday, August 4, were treated to a surprise when they arrived to find a Green Monster down the right field line. First, Swarm visited O'Brien's Pub and had about 10 scorekeepers among the teams' kids, tracking balls, strikes, outs, and runs batter by batter. ![]() Crow's Nest visited Bombers and started with underage scorekeepers who soon moved on to a wiffleball and '500' game, leaving leftover Swarm players to track the high-scoring game. ![]() The Green Monster was built by Rich Gottesman and has been improved since its original design in May 2008 to include 9 inning scoring; runs/hits/errors; balls/strikes/outs; and signs for team names ranging from perennial rivals "Boston" and "NYY" to "Ben" and "Jordan" and New York to Ben and Jordan, to each of the 16 AASL teams. ![]() Contact Rich for more information!
