Playoff Information Earlier this week we posted the playoff bracket and potential days (the days had been listed in the calendar since April 2008). See the playoffs page for more information.In late July, AASL contacted Westies captain Barbara Smith. For many seasons, Westies have declined to participate in playoffs due to a significant number of their players who are involved in other town sports activities that commence in August and they find it impossible to field a team for multiple days on short notice. Therefore, Westies informed AASL that they forfeit their playoff spot. We will play with a 15-team bracket. Historically we have removed Westies from the rankings and shifted all lower-ranked teams up one spot. We will do this again this season, so the first-place team has a bye (as there is no 16th team to play). Read up (nothing new from past season), and we'll see you in the playoffs!
