Whose Bench is Whose? In our 9 years, AASL has never established a guideline on which team gets which bench. Sometimes it's chosen based on the first team to the field, sometimes based on a gentlemen's agreement between arriving teams, and sometimes based on which side has more shade or a smaller puddle.A few seasons back we considered following MLB "rules", but we found that there was no MLB rule and even if we follow a precedent, there is a fairly even distribution between home and away dugouts. If you're interested, check out Wikipedia to read which home teams hang out near first and who near third. And if you have an opinion on the matter, email Matt.
