2008 Season Completed
The regular season and playoffs are complete for 2008. Swarm and Squeeze Play tied for first place in the regular season, the first time atop the league for both teams. However, both were denied any further gloryas Rink Rats won its third consecutive playoff title, winning some close games and a surprising blowout in their playoff run.
We've captured as much of it as we can in game notes in each link in the schedule, playoffs page, and 2008 online yearbook. If you have pictures or videos to share, please email us so we can post them!

Elm Street Improvements
In 2006, the Town of Acton approved capital expenditures to replace lights at Elm Street field and after our 2007 season, they completed the work. AASL, Pop Warner Football, and other user groups in the community raised some funds to offset the cost of the project, and in 2008 AASL will continue to fund this project through team fees, individual contributions, and other fundraising opportunities. See our Elm Street page for photos and more information.
League Summary
AASL was formed in 2000 by Rich Gottesman, along with the Acton Recreation Department, to provide adults in the community with the opportunity to participate in team sports. While the league keeps records and standings, our mission is to provide a recreational atmosphere, mostly social yet semi-competitive. To that end, our rulebook has been assembled with goals of promoting safe and fair play built on the foundation of good sportsmanship.
